TrueWest Imports is very proud to present a professionally fully restored 1963 Chevrolet Impala “4 door Sport Sedan” (Hardtop) in fresh high quality factory “Metallic Saddle Tan” colour.

This vehicle is equipped with a 327 cu. in (5.3L) motor that is rated at a conservative 300hp/224kW.

Coupled with the factory 2 speed Powerglide automatic transmission, this car is a delight to drive and plenty of power to use when needed. The engine has been detailed to an exceptional show quality.

The original interior, including the font bench seat, is in factory original “Saddle Tan” imitation leather with light Savarine cloth inserts. The front and back bench seating and trimmed interior is clean and fresh and shows absolutely no wear.

With only 96,759 genuine miles this car is a magnificent example of this model.

This Impala has factory fitted:

  • AM radio;
  • Heater;
  • Dual outside mirrors;
  • Dash pad;
  • 3 bar flippers wheel covers;
  • Vanity mirror;
  • Factory seat belts;
  • Gas door guard;
  • T3 headlights still in place; and
  • Original jack and spare.

Beneath the car is an all new dual exhaust bent to the factory specifications. The sub-frame and all floor-pans are straight and solid the undercarriage is totally rust free and very clean.

All panels are straight and aligned perfectly and the spacing is excellent.

The vehicle runs on modern radial white wall tyres and all trim mouldings and chrome “bright work” are in excellent (extremely close to) showroom condition.

There is absolutely no rust whatsoever in this vehicle.

This vehicle has Dealer installed “Vornado” air-conditioning.

At a time when the factory air-conditioning was a US$364 option (on a vehicle that has a M.S.R.P of US$2,8391), many people opted to have the Vornado air-conditioning installed by the Dealers (US$199.95 + installation). This is very rare Impala in this configuration and is truly an exceptional find.

Factory Option Prices

Cool pack air conditioning (US$317) Deluxe Air-conditioning, including Heating – US$364.00

As can been seen from the above, the Vornado air-conditioning fits and looks as if it was the US$317 option “Cool pack air-conditioning” but was approximately US$120 cheaper. (This is obviously in 1963 US$)

The dash installed air-conditioning is the “Deluxe Air-conditioning” option

Sanden Compressor

As 1963 vehicles of any marque are now 52 years old, if the air-conditioning was fitted, and not been replaced or restored, it will require relacing with an updated and modern air-conditioning unit.

This particular car, however, as part of its professional restoration had the air-conditioning unit restored to original condition.

This is truly an exceptional example of a 1963 Chevrolet Impala 4 door Sport Sedan. In fact it is EXTREMELY RARE to find a vehicle of this age in such excellent condition, given that 4 door vehicles of any marque in the USA are generally not well liked by collectors.

This vehicle would make an extraordinary, “head turning” daily driver or could be used and definitely win awards at car shows..

There are many more photographs of this extremely well presented vehicle available on request.

The price listed is in US$ but I can provide you with an all-inclusive “as landed” cost to have this extraordinarily RARE example of professionally fully restored 1963 Chevrolet Impala “4 door Sport Sedan” (Hardtop) imported to Fremantle or any other Port in Australia or New Zealand.

This vehicle is located in the US and the price shown does not include any applicable GST or the costs of importing the vehicles into Australia. See out FAQ page for information relating to costs, taxes and regulation.
